“Sky and Water” prayer shawl
1985
COMMISSIONED FOR ESTHER • TORONTO ONTARIO
This distinctive tallit has appliqué on both sides; the lighter one is sky, the darker is water. A crescent moon evokes the Shechinah, God’s female presence.
The wearer’s Hebrew name is Esther, and her crown has four jewels, one for each matriarch.
