“Lech L’cha” prayer shawl
2007
COMMISSIONED FOR ANDREW • TORONTO ONTARIO
All Bar and Bat Mitzvah youth are keenly aware that their life journeys are in progress and that they may face many twists and turns. The collar is a quote from “Lech L’Cha”, Andrew’s reading/parasha.
Andrew is surrounded by striped pathways that meet at each corner, where his family created a cross- stitched labyrinth. On the inside of one corner is a private message from Mum.
Unlike a puzzle maze, a labyrinth is an elaborate single path that helps the traveller to achieve a spiritual state. These designs are adapted from four historical labyrinths. These and other designs for corners and collars are available as kits from my boutique.
