"Coverlet" Prayer Shawl
Wool, cotton
Woven
Needlepoint collars designed and made by client
A set of four: 107 x 203 cm. (42" x 80")
Pearl's atarah design was inspired by a mediaeval ketubah. She needlepointed these collars for her husband, daughter and two sons, each in different colours, yet unified by way of the yellow and medium blue.
I then adapted a traditional North-American coverlet pattern for a generously-sized tallit.
