"Days of Creation" Prayer Shawl

The story of Creation in Genesis 1 is sym-bolically represented here. It seemed to me that God was separating and thereby organi-zing the various elements and substances of chaos into working systems.

Starting at the bottom the six horizontal bands represent the active days: God separated light from darkness on the first day; sky from water on the second day, and so on. The collar, a single unit in gold, symbolizes Shabbat.
