These mantles grace a newly commissioned scroll commissioned for this newly built Aish HaTorah synagogue.

I incorporated familiar iconography in the spirit of Askhenazic tradition. The crown represents G'd and Torah; the lions (symbol of royalty and power) are from the crest of the City of Jeru-salem; the pomegranate has, according to midrash, 613 seeds for the mitzvot.

Twelve rays of light numerologically honour the donor's son, Jehoshua (10) Baruch (2).
