Matzah Cover and Afikoman Pouch

Cotton, silk and various fabrics
Silk-screened, some with additional hand painting
46 x 46 cm (18" x 18")
Hand-crafted production pieces

The matzah cover depicts papyrus plants beside the parting waters to remind us of the Exodus.

When it is folded in quarters, the fabric forms pockets for the three ritual matzot.

The quilted afikoman pouch is a photographic silk-screen of a matzah. It is lined and trimmed with a reverse print of the perforations. The Hebrew and English form a pun, because "matzati" means "I found it".

This pouch is a much treasured seder gift. They have been sold in the Israel Museum (Jerusalem) and Jewish Museum (NY).

A few kits are available for purchase.
